How can two women’s cases, which are eerily similar, get such drastically different amounts of coverage and public reaction? What changes the trajectory of a case? Both were around 40 years old, both were mothers, both went missing around the new year this year (2023), and in both cases the bodies were found around the same time. How did one case get national coverage and the other barely get local coverage?
Please note: This post will focus on Amy Gregory. We have a previous blog post that contains links to the timeline and updates on Jennifer's case, you can view it here.
